THE SPRING ISSUE HAS ARRIVED
The spring issue has finally arrived. It came last week, just a few days past our April 15 deadline. (And "deadline" isn't really the right word anyway, because it's just something to shoot for; there aren't any consequences if we're a day or two off.) It's always rewarding to see our hard work come to fruition, and this issue is no different. We're proud to bring you another issue jam-packed with amazing poetry, fiction, and nonfiction.
As always, we celebrated with an issue release reading at Paradigm Coffee & Music in Sheboygan. Contributors Marilyn L. Taylor, Marilyn Zelke-Windau, Ed Werstein, Kyane Howland, and Georgia Ressmeyer each read their work in addition to one other piece from the issue. We also had three contributors who read for our Sheboygan audience live via Skype: Leanne Chabalko from California, Sandra Kleven from Alaska, and Zeta Sion from Sweden. Check out photos from the reading below, and check out work from the issue here. And if you like what you see and read, please consider subscribing or making a small donation by clicking on the yellow "donate" button at the bottom of the page. We are barely able to keep our little stone boat afloat, so every subscription and every dollar counts.
STONEBOAT AT MIDWEST SMALL PRESS FESTIVAL
Stoneboat will have a table at the Midwest Small Press Festival book fair in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The book fair will be held Saturday, June 2nd from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. at the Polish Falcon, a local bar (815 E. Clark Street). We'll be selling the current issue ($5) and back issues ($3), as well as t-shirts ($12), subscriptions ($12), and Lisa Vihos's chapbook ($10). In other words, there are plenty of reasons to get thee to the book fair. See you there!
SPECIAL ISSUE: LAKELAND SESQUICENTENNIAL EDITION
Now that we've finished the spring issue, we're hard at work on the Lakeland College Sesquicentennial issue. The issue will be out in June, and it will be available for purchase at Lakeland's All-College Reunion June 21-24, 2012. Stoneboat will also host two readings at the All-College Reunion: Friday at noon and Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
